Rachel Peterson is a fantastic nurse practitioner that is joining the Emerald DPC team this month! We are so excited to welcome her to be able to provide more patients with direct primary care in Northeast Ohio. She is accepting new patients.
Originally from a small town in rural Ohio, she completed her undergraduate education at Miami University of Ohio, and then pursued her nursing education at Case Western Reserve University's France Payne Bolton's School of Nursing. She worked as a pediatric nurse at Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital before becoming a family nurse practitioner in 2008.
Nurse Practitioner Peterson worked in the Cleveland Clinic outpatient Internal Medicine & Pediatrics department for 14 years, where she worked with patients of all ages. She shared an office with Dr. Moini there, before Dr. Moini opened Emerald DPC.
Rachel Peterson has a special interest in preventative health and wellness, asthma, and women's health. She loves spending time with her patients and getting to know them. She wanted to be a part of a practice that encourages providers to spend time with their patients, instead of being pressured to see more and more patients each day.
