Dr. Babak Moini is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Babak grew up in  California, where he completed his undergraduate degree at University of California Davis. He then worked in Washington DC at the National Institutes of Health, and completed his Master degree at Georgetown prior to beginning medical school at Medical College of Virginia.

Upon completion of his M.D., he completed his internal medicine residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center. He practiced in Colorado and locally in Cleveland at University Hospitals. He has continued to be active in teaching medical students and residents both at UH and at Emerald.

Dr. Moini lives in Shaker Heights with Mrs. Dr. Moini, their two young sons, and two dogs. In his free time he enjoys playing outdoor sports with his kids, cooking healthy food and training as a recreational long distance road and trail runner.

While I originally went to medical school with a plan to become a cardiologist, I soon found my calling in primary care and changed course. I truly cherish my long-term relationships with my patients, forming a trusting bond while also being intellectually challenged by seeing all sorts of medical conditions. 

 

I have practiced as an internist since 2013 and I love what I do. I personally follow a whole food diet and exercise as a recreational triathlete and runner. Over the years I have helped many of my patients improve their health by implementing the same healthy habits.
